Overview

My role within the society was to elevate online presence and branding through a website, social media and graphics design.

Results

Directly grew membership to 100+ members within 3 months in 2025, 2x previous year’s growth rate.

Built a custom website using Framer that successfully fulfilled stakeholder's satisfaction and brand guidelines.

Website

I was initially brought on by the society to develop a website that would inform potential members about the society, its offerings, and upcoming events.

With experience using no-code web tools, I proposed using Framer to quickly ship a responsive site that showcased all necessary information and aligned with the brand guidelines. Its CMS capabilities would also allow showcasing collection and easy updates of events.

The process began by outlining the site requirements to define the information architecture. I then mocked up the site in Figma to present the layout and content structure before building in Framer.

Upon proposing the site, stakeholders were satisfied with the proposed design but noted a lack of available photos, as the society was newly formed. I accounted for this by substituting icons for images. After several iterations and feedback loops, the site was finalised.

USYD Welcome Week

In preparation for USYD Welcome Week, the society needed a variety of print and digital materials to advertise across campus and online.

A key consideration for these marketing materials was how to attract students beyond the niche of urbanism — a postgrad major within Architecture, which can limit the society's reach. I led with the copy “Love cities? So do we!”, a simple, inviting hook that extends what the society is about.

This proved effective when, during Welcome Week, a student approached the stall after noticing the slogan, shared their interest in cities, and later joined the society after learning more about urbanism.
