Brief

For my major project in the HSC Design and Technology course, I ventured to develop an app prototype to learn about UX/UI design. This project was a journey, from designing from assumptions to a realisation to be user centred and empathetic as I adopted design thinking principles for the first time. This exploration transformed my understanding of design, understanding that design is a form to address the genuine problems of the users and not to be driven by assuming the solution.

DESIGN THINKING

In my approach to this design, I adopted Design Thinking concepts primarily being user-centric approaches such as The Double Diamond. This allowed for a problem to be solved by directly addressing the issues of the market, thus led to a more successful design. This research is presented in the following section "User Research"
